Send Noodz

I’m at the tail end of my trip to Japan. This is only one of many, many, many cool food-establishments I wanted to blog about:

Kyoto RamenWhen you have friends who would use “send noodz” as a sext, trust their recommendations on where to go for ramen.

Spontaneously jumped off the Shinkansen before my destination, giant suitcase and all, just to have dinner at what was essentially a Kyoto noodles theme park that offered a dozen different styles of ramen from all across Japan. My inner (and outer) fat girl said to get a couple different types just to try (thank god for mini bowl options!). The black one is from Toyama, which features a long-boiled fish-soy broth that actually tastes light despite its dramatic appearance. The other one is a tonkatsu broth from Kitakata, chosen for its extra thick noodles.

Definitely exceeded my recommended daily intake of carbs, sodium, and fat…but hey, anything for some hot noodz.
